Favorite YT Memory:
I could call the entire week of Youth Tour a “favorite memory.” The inspiration and perspectives I gathered from the monuments, experiences, and diverse friendships set into action dreams and pursuits that continue to this day. Six years later, I still have cherished friendships with people from that one week in Washington, D.C.
I think it was really important to meet people from other parts of my state and my country. It broadened my perspective. It started something inside of me, a flame that’s still burning. Now I’m obsessed with diversity, with traveling. I currently live in Cuernavaca, Mexico! It’s not that anything profound happened to me on that trip. However, it opened my eyes to the world and led me to so many fantastic opportunities, and gave me the courage to do things I otherwise wouldn’t have. It’s beautiful. Oh, yeah, and that cruise was hot too!
Favorite YLC Memory:
I remember the rush I felt as I walked from the back of the stage to the podium to deliver the invocation at the Dallas annual meeting to the thousands of attendees. At first I was amazingly calm, but by the time I reached the podium, I think the audience could probably hear my heart pounding in my chest!
